Imagine That: Putting It All on the Line

Since its inaugural awards presentation in 2014, RPM has been imagining and coordinating the stage production for 43North’s annual business plan competition final awards show. Entrepreneurs from around the world submit their business plans. Those selected as the most promising pitch their ideas to a group of expert judges, competing for a share of prize money totaling $5,000,000.

With so much on the line, we imagined, created, and realized a pitch-perfect live presentation.

What RPM Imagined

Setting the Stage

For 2019’s finals ceremony, we created a unique stage design featuring a stylized 60-foot wide cityscape background. A custom-made sharkstooth scrim filled the proscenium, concealing the stage set until a dynamic lighting transformation revealed it.

Expert Execution

We mapped original animation and video sequences onto the cityscape to begin the show and our host made a dramatic entrance onto a custom-designed stage platform faced with video tiles. A custom curved judges’ desk completed the look.

Professional Production

The look of the set changed during the show, and the awards finale featured exciting lighting effects from programmable moving lights, LED strobes, video effects, and LED-enhanced vapor geysers.
